I received some hard news this week.  It is highly probable that I have Dry Macular Degeneration in my right eye, which is in the intermediate stage.  A referral is coming to go to a retina specialist in Fargo.  I had noticed wavy lines in print and have a harder time with low light or driving at night.  At first, I cried because I love photography so much, and the thought of being dependent made me sad.  Of course, your thoughts go full speed ahead into an unknown future before it is even here.  I've digested a lot of videos on YouTube and was comforted.  There was even a photographer who said the newer cameras have such great autofocus systems that he has still been able to take photos.  His style just changed.  No one knows how fast it may progress, and the good news is that my left eye seems healthy.  On a funny note, if you noticed that I park Ms Meow so far from the curb, it is due to my depth perception.

I do want to keep taking photographs and enjoy my hobby to the fullest extent.  Please reach out to me if you would ever like to pose or try something creative.  You have to use it before you lose it.  I will eat my vitamins, eat a ton of salmon, exercise, and eye injections - if I must.
